Prof. Ahmed Ghellab Mohamed-President of Aswan University- announced that Aswan University has ranked first among Egyptian universities less than 50 years old, through the 2020 ranking

And the inclusion of Aswan University in the center (101-150) globally and the first place on the Egyptian universities for emerging universities less than 50 years old. This new classification comes as a new addition to Aswan University, which was independent from South Valley University in 2012 at its headquarters in Aswan Governorate.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab -President of the University- added that Aswan University has obtained many scientific and research titles from among the international universities, and this comes as a culmination of the societal, scientific, environmental and research efforts undertaken by Aswan University until it became a scientific and research edifice in southern Upper Egypt, where the number of its faculty reached (20) colleges and institutes for studies. In African countries and the Nile Basin countries, Aswan University was able in a short time to join the old universities constructively, despite its recent establishment, with the opening of the new campus in the new city of Aswan, which includes (9) new buildings to serve the educational and research system and the establishment of many research centers and specialized laboratories.
